Since today was supposed to be the first summer track meet at New Haven, I wanted to put this reminder that they have been cancelled because the track is
finally getting resurfaced and repainted today and tomorrow and cannot be used for racing for 3 weeks. The track was supposed to be resurfaced and repainted 3
weeks ago, but due to the rainy May and early June, the company got behind schedule. If you have used the track before for your own personal training, we are
asking for everyone to stay off the track until July 10th and no spikes until July 25th. I guess we had some local residences on the track last night even
though the company had put up barriers to keep people off.
Good news is that the track will be ready for the Distance Gala on July 25th.
