For Christmas 1982, my Mom bought me a copy of Jim Fixx's "The Complete Book of Running" and the companion log in the old white spiral binder.
Remember those?
Here is what I did that first week:
Monday, December 27 --- New Lake loop (2 miles)
Tuesday, December 28 ---- New Lake loop (2 miles)
Friday, December 31 --- Deaton's to Highway 3 (1.5 miles) --- That was at my in-laws down south of North Vernon.
Sunday, January 2 --- 10 toe-tips, 10 sit-ups, 10 push-ups, New Lake loop (2 miles) "Even pace all through."
Distance this Week: 7.5 miles
Weight: 163 pounds
